COMPETITION INFORMATION AND LINKS
The 2021 Ocala Jockey Club International 3-Day Event is back for the 5th time. The four editions of the Event have attracted top level riders such as Rio 2016 Olympic Bronze Medalist (individual) Phillip Dutton, Rio 2016 Olympics Gold Medalist (team) and Silver Medalist (individual) Astier Nicolas from France, as well as other Olympians Boyd Martin, Clayton Fredericks, Leslie Law, Lynn Symansky and other elite eventers. When asked in an interview by Eventing Nation about OJC, Astier Nicolas replied, "This is a great venue; I am amazed. I came here during November from Europe, so it's great to be here in the USA with the sunshine. There's a lot of room here and there's some great galloping courses. The event looks like a success. I hear everyone praising it."
All courses, designed by Mike Etherington-Smith and Clayton Fredericks, have received rave reviews in all the first four editions of the Ocala Jockey Club Event for the traditional galloping courses reminiscent of the English rolling hill countryside. The courses were described as tough and fair, with technically challenging questions such as the water cascade jump by the clubhouse pond.
